Crew Bios

Capt. Cole is the captain of Motor-Yacht Top Shelf. He has been a USCG licensed captain for over 10 years and has navigated the waters from Georgia all the way to the Turks and Caicos Islands. His licenses and certifications consist of his USCG 200-ton Master Near Coastal Captains License with endorsements in STCW95, Radar Observer Unlimited, HELM-M, and Marine Radio Operator. He is also a certified Divemaster with additional certifications in Public Safety diving as he also assists local Police & Fire Departments in diving operations. He has 14 years in the yachting industry and was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His yachting background has been in multiple positions on vessels ranging from 60ft to 130ft motor yachts. His maritime experience also includes marine salvage, recreational and commercial scuba diving as well as yacht engineering. He is knowledgeable in the areas of South Florida, The Bahamas, and Parts of the Caribbean. Cole is described as a captain who is safety focused, detail oriented, fun, communicative and prepared. He also strives on making a fun and enjoyable work environment for his crew so that their positive attitude is reflected toward the guests. He enjoys diving, freshwater fishing and spending time with his wife, son and dog during his time off.

Kristen is the sole stewardess on board Motor Yacht top shelf. With 8 years in the industry holding positions as Chief Stew, deck stew, and cook stew on vessels up to 120' as well as 12 years in the hospitality industry. Kristen has experience in many parts of the Bahamas including Harbor Island, Bimini, Nassau and throughout the Exumas. Kristen was Born in Colorado and raised in a small town in Illinois. Spending 20 years boating with her family on lake Michigan. She has a college degree in leadership and supervision with a minor in marketing. She has a very versatile service style and the ability to help out in all departments on board as well as recently completing her USCG 100-ton captains license. Kristen loves personalizing each guest’s experience. She is creative, energetic, friendly, and organized. She loves having kids on board and making their time onboard memorable. In her free time, she enjoys snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, archery and fostering bottle baby animals
